Perhaps you have heard of the well-regarded CBD brand Medterra. In today’s review, we find out if Medterra holds up under the Greenshoppers investigation – is this brand really worth your money?

Medterra Quick Summary

Medterra Pros

  • Good range of products, with a little something for everyone.
  • Medterra ships to the UK, despite being an American company. This is facilitated by participation in the Hemp Pilot Research program, which also makes the brand more trustworthy.
  • Third-party lab reports are very easily accessible.
  • CO2 extraction is used to make the products, which still remain fairly affordable considering the potency.

Medterra Cons

  • For those who wish to experience the entourage effect from full-spectrum CBD, they are out of luck with Medterra. Only isolates are available, which is a downside for some users.
  • There is no vaping option, which is quite surprising in the CBD market nowadays.

With new CBD companies appearing all the time, choosing the one that suits you can be difficult. It is surprisingly often that we come across brands that seem unprofessional. Even if the brand is totally legitimate, sometimes the website makes it seem as if they are only targeting cannabis-smoking university students. Sadly, this can give the entire CBD industry a bad name.

Today we are reviewing a brand called Medterra. This brand could not be further from that unprofessional image. This is clearly a brand interested in health and wellness, and the entire site presents that.

But just because the brand has a good website does not mean the products are worth the money. So, today we will be taking a thorough look into the Medterra brand and the products it has on offer.

Who Is Medterra?

Medterra was started by a group of individuals in Kentucky. It has since grown into a pretty big brand known throughout the United States for providing high-quality CBD. The hemp is grown in Kentucky, in accordance with the guidelines drawn up by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. As Kentucky was a central state in implementing the Farm Bill 2018, you know that this is high-quality hemp.

Medterra is even in partnership with the Hemp Pilot Research Program. This shows the brand’s dedication to changing the future of hemp and CBD. The hemp is even certified by the US Hemp Authority.

The products are all of a high-quality and safe, being non-GMO and safe to consume. Nevertheless, Medterra has an aim to make CBD affordable to all, and so tries to keep its products as fairly priced as possible.

All products are THC-free, made using a CBD isolate. The lab results are available on the website to confirm that this is true.

Another thing we like about Medterra, aside from the website design and the third-party lab reports, is its social media presence. When a brand is active on social media, you can be sure that it is not a scam and that other consumers trust the company. Of course, by the time you’re checking out Medterra’s Instagram, you’ll already have the impression of complete professionalism and reliability.

Most American CBD companies do not ship to the UK as a result of international laws. Luckily, since Medterra is affiliated with the Hemp Pilot Research program, you can buy Medterra products in the UK! Shipping may take longer and is not free for international customers, but we still love that we have the option.

Medterra CBD Products

Medterra has a good range of CBD products, including some really great bundles. In the section below, we run through the available products from this brand, including the costs.

Medterra CBD Oil

Medterra CBD Oil

As with all of the products, Medterra CBD oil is produced using a 99+% CBD isolate. It is suspended in an MCT coconut carrier oil. Each bottle is one ounce, containing 30ml of CBD oil, dispensed through the dropper in 1ml servings. As such, the bottle contains approximately 30 servings. The dropper is marked with 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1ml, so you can change the servings to your liking. The oil is flavourless, making it fairly versatile.

Medterra sells several potencies:

  • CBD Oil Tincture 500mg: £33.98
  • CBD Oil Tincture 1000mg: £60.16
  • CBD Oil Tincture 3000mg: £111.76

Medterra CBD Capsules

Medterra CBD Capsules

The Medterra capsules are made similarly to the tinctures, using CO2 extraction and filtration to produce a 99.6% pure CBD extract. Suspended in MCT oil, this CBD oil is then contained within a bovine gelatine capsule. Of course, this does mean that it cannot be taken by vegetarians or vegans.

Alongside regular capsules that can be taken at any time, Medterra also offers another option. The CBD Good Morning capsules contain caffeine, B Vitamins, L-Tyrosine, and L-Theanine. These ingredients are designed to keep you awake and alert throughout the day.

  • CBD Gel Capsules 25mg (30-count): £45.15
  • CBD Gel Capsules 50mg (30-count): £73.05
  • CBD Good Morning Capsules 25mg (60-count): £60.16

Medterra CBD Topicals

Medterra CBD Topicals

Medterra only offers one topical. The Rapid Cooling Cream is intended as a rub for muscle and joint soreness. Packed full of organic ingredients such as grapefruit seed extract, aloe leaf juice, xanthan gum, and menthol, this formula allows for rapid cooling action. The list of ingredients is quite extensive, which is not necessarily a good thing; that being said, if they are all truly organic, then we can’t fault the product. The bottle is 3.4 fluid ounces.

There is also a CBD + Manuka cream with 125mg of CBD, designed for high moisturising action.

  • CBD Rapid Cooling Cream 250mg: £34.05
  • CBD Rapid Cooling Cream 750mg: £60.81
  • CBD + Manuka Cream 125mg: £31.52
  • CBD + Manuka Cream 500mg: £45.03

Our Verdict on Medterra: 10/10

Overall, we love the Medterra brand. It is a reliable and professional company, and this is evident from both the website and the packaging. Once you see the third-party lab reports in clear view, it is clear that Medterra is a brand you can trust.

For some CBD users, it might be a shame that all of the products contain a CBD isolate. However, if this is what you’re looking for, then Medterra could be the perfect brand for you.

Plus, it’s very refreshing to see an American brand shipping to Great Britain. It gives us hope for the future of the CBD industry when nobody is worried about international shipping and unfair hemp laws. We don’t know what the future holds, but hopefully it looks a little something like Medterra.
