When it comes to finding the appropriate CBD product for you, it can be difficult to even know where to start. First of all, there is a massive variety of different products to try out, including oils, capsules, and gummies. But once you have decided how to take the CBD, it is a matter of choosing what brand to buy from.

In the UK, CBD food supplements are part of an unregulated industry. While the MHRA governs medicinal products containing cannabinoids, food supplements are another story altogether. Since nobody is monitoring these products, it is all too easy for scam manufacturers to rip off unsuspecting consumers.

Luckily, there are also plenty of good, trustworthy brands out there. It’s just a matter of knowing who is who. Here at Greenshoppers, we only want our readers to buy and try the best of the best. Today, we will be looking at the UK Wellness brand of CBD products, investigating whether they are worth your money.

Who are UK Wellness?

UK Wellness are a relatively new CBD brand that has come to the fore thanks to their solid values and morality. According to their website, they pride themselves on “transparency and reliability”, ensuring that every one of their products is “safe and effective”.

They are aware of the dangerous scam products available in the CBD market, and they have a vision to change this by promoting such transparency. They create real CBD products using pure CBD oil rather than hemp seed oil, which itself contains very few cannabinoids. Furthermore, customers know that they can trust in UK Wellness because they use a 48-hour tracked delivery service.

Their website has a handy ‘About CBD’ section to inform newcomers to CBD about the compound and what it does.

UK Wellness CBD Products

UK Wellness has a decent range of CBD products and a few other, non-CBD products that are relevant to your health and wellbeing. Each product has an enlarged picture of the label where you can see the ingredients, suggested use, and important information. Furthermore, the label provides a link to an independent third party lab where you can see lab reports and batch tracing for each product.

The products are manufactured by a company called Cannabidol, and not UK Wellness themselves.

UK Wellness CBD Oils

UK Wellness CBD oil

UK Wellness sells their CBD oils in several strengths. Each comes in a 10ml bottle with a built-in dropper for ease of use. The brand recommends that you take half a dropper twice a day for maximum efficacy; you are supposed to drop the oil under your tongue and hold it there for as long as possible before swallowing.

The site states that the CBD used is produced in Cannabidol’s FDA-registered facility in England. We’re not entirely sure why a British facility is registered by the Food and Drugs Administration from America, which calls into question the legitimacy of this claim. Nevertheless, it does appear that the oil is of a high quality and is safe.

Here are the different strengths available and the prices of each:

  • 250 mg: £19.99
  • 500 mg: £39.99
  • 1000 mg: £69.99

At the time of writing, UK Wellness has a January sale on which lets you get CBD oils for cheaper. There may be other sales throughout the year so keep your eyes peeled.

UK Wellness CBD Vape Liquid

Vaping is an increasingly popular option for taking CBD, and many brands are catering to their customers who already vape by providing e-liquids infused with cannabidiol. This e-liquid is made using a 75% full-spectrum extract, taken from specially grown Cannabis sativa L plants. With a full range of terpenes, Cannabidol decided not to use any added flavorings so as to preserve the natural taste of the cannabis.

We do have a few complaints. First of all, due to the dangers of vaping CBD, we would like to know how these e-liquids are produced and whether they contain any thinning agents. Secondly, there is a part in the description which reads, “This vape liquid contains no CBD isolate so is 100% legal.” This sentence doesn’t really make sense – CBD isolate is perfectly legal and perhaps even safer and less legally questionable than full-spectrum extracts! We’re not really sure what they are getting at here.

Here are the strengths and prices of Cannabidol’s CBD vape liquids:

  • 250 mg: £24.99
  • 500 mg: £49.99

UK Wellness Oral CBD Capsules

Cannabidol also produces CBD capsules. For those who don’t like the taste of CBD or would prefer the ease of use of a pill, these are ideal. However, UK Wellness states that these are the least effective way to take CBD due to the low bioavailability; as a result, they recommend taking the capsules alongside sublingual oils or vape products.

It is recommended to take 1-2 capsules every 6 hours, which equates to around 3 doses per day. Although we are not completely sure of the ingredients, we know that these capsules contain a full spectrum of cannabinoids and is listed as being vegetarian-friendly.

Each packet comes with 30 CBD-infused capsules. There is only one strength available:

300 mg: 15,000 mg of cannabinoids in total, 300 mg of which is CBD: 10 mg of CBD per capsule. £19.99

There is also a selection of CBD gel-tabs, which are designed for increased efficacy. Similarly to the sublingual oils, you take these gel tabs by allowing them to dissolve under the tongue, increasing the bioavailability compared to regular capsules. They are said to “taste delicious”, too.

Each packet comes with 10 gel tabs. There are a few different strengths available:

  • 100 mg (10 mg per tab): £17.99
  • 250 mg (25 mg per tab): £21.99
  • 500 mg (50 mg per tab): £39.99
  • 1000 mg (100 mg per tab): £69.99

UK Wellness CBD Cacao-Tabs

If you’re interested in getting your hands on edibles, then cacao tabs could be ideal. They are similar to chocolate, only in the form of a capsule. Once again, these are administered by allowing the white chocolate to dissolve under the tongue for fast, effective CBD. Usually, companies sell CBD gummies, so this is a slightly different (but not entirely unique) take on CBD edibles.

There are several strengths available for different costs:

  • 100 mg (10 mg per tab): £17.99
  • 250 mg (25 mg per tab): £21.99
  • 500 mg (50 mg per tab): £39.99

UK Wellness CBD Concentrated Extract

This is Cannabidol’s version of a concentrated CBD extract, containing extremely high concentrations of CBD. This product comes in a syringe with milligram marking for delivery of an exact CBD dosage. By inserting the extract into your mouth via the syringe, the CBD can be absorbed via the cheeks and gums. It can also be applied directly to the skin.

There are three separate concentrations available:

  • 25% (25 mg per 0.1ml): £19.99
  • 50% (50 mg per 0.1ml): £37.99
  • 75% (75 mg per 0.1ml): £69.99

UK Wellness Pros

  • Free shipping on orders over £40.
  • Alongside CBD, UK Wellness sells other health-related products to help you stay on top of your health.
  • Their CBD is quality-tested.
  • A nice variety of strengths with each product.

UK Wellness Cons

  • Very little information about the individual products.
  • Some of the claims made on the site are questionable.

So, Are UK Wellness CBD Products Worth it?

As a whole, the CBD products sold at UK Wellness are pretty good. Cannabidol’s products are high-quality and regularly tested to ensure this remains the case, meaning that these products are safe to take.

Unfortunately, it is more or less impossible to find customer reviews of either UK Wellness or Cannabidol, which makes us a little wary. There are other brands out there that seem a lot more transparent and reputable, so we would recommend starting out with other CBD oils and products that are verified to be good for you.

That being said, you can check out the UK Wellness CBD products for yourself and see if they take your fancy. If you have tried them already, let us know what you thought in the comments below.
