The global CBD market is bigger and better than ever before. According to the Brightfield Group, this industry will be worth $22 billion by 2022. This insane revenue is certainly impressing, and it is drawing more brands to the market by the day.

We think it’s important for consumers to be fully clued up when they make their decision about buying CBD. That’s why we write regularly updated reviews on the CBD brands we’re seeing around – you deserve to know which brands you can trust.

Today, Medix CBD is going under the microscope to determine whether this is a legitimate brand.

Who is Medix CBD?

Medix CBD was founded by Miguel Lozano and has been in the industry for a few years now. All the hemp used in Medix products is grown and sourced from Kentucky, a state quickly becoming known for high-quality hemp. Medix guarantees that all products are free of chemicals.

Lab tests are conducted to ensure that products remain safe and clean. These reports can be openly viewed in the product descriptions. Furthermore, the manufacturing facilities are all clean and adhere to good standards, preventing the products from becoming contaminated at any stage.

Medix believes that it’s important to build good relations with consumers. To do this, they offer a fast and reliable shipping service; we didn’t come across any reviews which complained about shipping. It claims that its products can be shipped to all 50 states, but this might not be the case. Some states, like New York, are cracking down on edibles, while it has been reported that vape products can no longer be sold in Washington D.C. Furthermore, Medix doesn’t ship internationally or to the UK.

Regardless of some shipping issues, it’s clear that Medix wants to satisfy customers. A helpline is on hand to help customers, who can get in touch via the pop-up box on the website.

Medix CBD Products

So, let’s talk about the products. Medix CBD uses CO2 extraction to produce this range, and guarantees (according to the FAQ) that all products are free of THC. The checkout is completely secure, and orders over $100 receive free US shipping.

Medix CBD Oil

Medix CBD Oil

The range of Medix CBD oils is full-spectrum, but contains no THC. Medix CBD believes in the entourage effect and wants to bring this to consumers, as is clear from its immediate mention in the description for these oils. They are all a natural flavor, which may not be suitable for some consumers. However, this is pretty much the industry standard version of a CBD oil, so we can’t complain.

Something we don’t like is that the bottles arrive in a plastic box. The single-use plastic box is rather unnecessary, and we don’t appreciate the use of unnecessary plastic waste here at Greenshoppers. We sincerely hope this is rectified in the future because it puts us off a bit.

The oil itself seems to be quite high-quality. Of course, it is made using Kentucky hemp with CO2 extraction, which speaks to the quality. Plus, it is gluten-free and vegan. Each bottle is made with a blend of hemp seed oil.

There is a decent range of strengths, and we like that there’s something for every type of CBD user.

  • Medix CBD Oil 100mg (15ml): $26.99
  • Medix CBD Oil 250mg (15ml): $45.99
  • Medix CBD Oil 500mg (30ml): $75.99
  • Medix CBD Oil 1000mg (30ml): $162.99
  • Medix CBD Oil 1500mg (30ml): $209.99
  • Medix CBD Oil 4500mg (120ml): $449.99

Medix CBD Vapes

Vaping is a popular option these days, and usually, brands offer a dizzying range of flavours to choose from. Medix CBD offers a smaller range, but we kind of like that it focuses on specific effects.

The range consists of three disposable vape pens. Once you are finished with it, you can throw it away. This is a good introduction to vaping for those who are unsure, but you might want to invest in a better vape pen if you decide you like it. That being said, it is possible to charge the vape pen and use again, although you will need to look elsewhere to buy vape oil to refill it, as Medix does not sell the vape liquid separately. Also, the charger doesn’t come with the device and can’t be bought separately, which we find a bit pointless.

As far as we know, no propylene glycol (PG) is featured in this product, which is a great sign. Instead, Medix CBD has mixed its CBD oil formula with a terpene vape blend. The terpenes match the profiles of specific cannabis strains, and thereby provoke different effects when used. You can choose between:

  • CBD Vape Oil Cartridge – Focus (Super Lemon Haze)
  • CBD Vape Oil Cartridge – Relax (Blue Dream)
  • CBD Vape Oil Cartridge – Sleep (Granddaddy Purple)

Each one contains a 4:5 ratio of CBD : Terpenes. You can select whether you want a 250mg cartridge (100 hits) or a 500mg cartridge (200 hits). They are priced as follows:

  • 250mg: $49.99
  • 500mg: $59.99

Medix CBD Edibles

Medix CBD Edibles

Medix CBD, like many other brands, offers CBD gummies as its choice of edible. The gummies are made in an assortment of flavours. Please note that they are not vegan-friendly because they are made using gelatine.

Each gummy contains 10mg of CBD. You have the option to purchase them in a 10-count tub (100mg) or a 30-count tub (300mg). Customers have been very impressed with these gummies, claiming that they are incredibly useful for a number of uses.

You have the option to choose between Gummy Bears, Sour Gummy Bears, Rainbow Bites, and Sour Gummy Worms. The pricing is as follows:

  • Medix CBD Gummies 100mg: $16.99
  • Medix CBD Gummies 300mg: $49.99

Medix CBD Topicals

Medix CBD Topicals

In terms of topicals, Medix CBD has two on offer.

The first is the Medix CBD Pain Cream. This product is designed for use on sore muscles and joints. It contains all the typical ingredients you would find in a pain cream, such as xanthan gum, green tea extract, aloe extract, and 22% menthol. These cooling ingredients work to relieve pain and irritation, while the CBD affects the endocannabinoid system by penetrating the skin layers.

This product contains 150mg of CBD in a 1oz tub. It costs $35.99. This sounds alright, especially when you consider that one customer said it worked just as well as Biofreeze. However, the CBD content does mean that the price is much higher than other pain creams, so whether you want to pay that is up to you.

Alternatively, there is the Medix Scent Free CBD Lotion. This is just a standard moisturising lotion, designed for rapid absorption. Medix says that it is ideal for sensitive skin and can even be used on the face. Ingredients include coconut oil, peppermint oil, and eucalyptus oil. The 4oz bottle contains 300mg of CBD, which Medix claims can soothe aches and pains. It costs $59.99.

Once again, there is nothing in particular that makes this topical stand out for us. By all accounts, it’s a regular moisturiser, but very expensive because of the CBD content. If you were to go for either product here, we would recommend trying out the pain cream, because at least it serves a purpose.

Medix CBD for Dogs

Medix CBD for Dogs

As giving CBD to dogs becomes increasingly popular, more brands are jumping on the bandwagon. Medix CBD offers a CBD oil for dogs in three strength options, ranging from small to large dogs. This is good because it gives owners the peace of mind that they are not giving their dog too much CBD.

Mostly, this product is similar to the human CBD oil. However, it features a bacon flavour that will entice your dog to lap it up. Users seem to love the oil and claim that their dogs actually enjoy taking it. If worse comes to worst, simply add a few drops to their food.

One thing we didn’t like is that, once again, Medix has included unnecessary plastic packaging. We understand that they have gone for the aesthetic side of things, but we think there are more important things at stake when it comes to single-use plastic.

  • Medix CBD Oil for Small Dogs (100mg, 30ml): $29.99
  • Medix CBD Oil for Medium Dogs (250mg, 30ml): $39.99
  • Medix CBD Oil for Large Dogs (500mg, 30ml): $49.99

Medix CBD Pros

  • A decent range of products, and nothing too out there or flashy. Sometimes, it’s nice to find some simplicity in the CBD industry.
  • Lab reports are easy to view and verify that the products are what they say they are.
  • A lot of research went into these products, which is always a good sign.
  • Free shipping on big orders, plus a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
  • The website is laid out well, which is surprisingly not something we see a lot!

Medix CBD Cons

  • Some of the products are a bit expensive, especially for what they are.
  • We don’t like the single-use plastic packaging just for a bottle of CBD oil. They could switch to cardboard.

Final Thoughts on Medix CBD

If you live in the U.S., then Medix CBD is a good brand. It offers a lot of high-quality CBD products with lab reports to back them up. With the CBD oil, there is a strength of CBD oil for you to try no matter what your needs.

There are a lot of things we like about Medix, and not many negatives. The main drawback seems to be the expense, which may push this brand out of some customers’ price range. Nevertheless, you get what you pay for a lot of the time.

Unfortunately, our UK readers will have to look elsewhere for a CBD brand, as Medix doesn’t ship to Great Britain. Don’t fret, though – the CBD market cannot be stopped, and there’s always a new brand around the corner!
